Hi,
I am on PI 7.4 SP 14 single stack
I have read the other posts and also have gone through the posts by Shabharish and Michael but nothing is pointing me to the right direction-
XI/PI: Collecting IDocs - possible ways with pros and cons - 5 ways
Sending Multiple IDocs to single file (.CSV) without using BPM
https://scn.sap.com/thread/3155788
I have a scenario where by more than 1 type of IDOC (delivery, orders) will be sent from a third party SAP system and they all need to be mapped to a single flat file in the order they are received. The IDOCs in the source system will be generated by a batch job and this is going to happen once a day.
Around 2000 IDOC are expected to come in 1 single batch run.The receiver file should contain all the header and line item entries for all these IDOCs and send this to the target side.
I know we can send idoc separately and in the file communication channel we can choose the option append. So all idocs will be written to the same file. I need to know how to design the scenario in respect to mapping.
In sender IDOC adapter, packaging option is available but then i do not have the fixed number that i can put in for packaging parameter. I have now imported the needed IDOC structures in my sandbox so that i can do a test development.
BPM is not an option.
Please advise.
Regards,
Archana
Hi Archana,
I haven't tested with a sender IDOC but i haven't seen any problem that your scenario will fail with the append mode in the file receiver and EOIO as quality of service. Also, you can check this note, previously to take a decision 1162687 - File Receiver with "append" mode on multiple cluster nodes
Regards.
