Hi,
Can anybody let me know the pratical difference between FIFO and stringent FIFO strategy in SAP WM area ?
Thanks.
Hi Ashish,
FIFO - Normally this Removal Strategy searches for the oldest quant from the storage type mentioned in the search strategy. ( storage type removal strategy - F)
Stingent FIFO - When we mention *** in the search strategy, the system searched the oldest quant in the whole warehouse (from all the available storage types). - ( storage type removal strategy - F)
We can exclude some of the storage type ( interim ) from the stringent FIFO.
Reward if helpful

Hi Ashish,
Normally picking strategy is applicable at storage type level. But some strategy like FIFO or SLED needs to be checked at entire warehouse level. so during storage type search for picking or stock removal, we define *** in storage type sequence, so all storage type will be searched for FIFO or SLED. Note, here we have to exclude interim and production storage types from the search, this can be achieved by defining interim storage type & production storage type under stringent FIFO with exclusion indicator.
Thanks and Regards,
