Problems and few questions

Hello SDN Members,

I installed Visual composer 7.0. I tried a little example and it's worked. But I have a little problem. I can see mySAP ERP... What is the problem ?

Also I have some little questions on visual composer for a newbie :

1) Is it possible to create applications without delplying in portal ? On a simple web page ?

2) I would like to have a tree control , is it a way to do that with visual composer ?

In ABAP Webdynpro we can... But perhaps there is a tips to do that

Thanks a lot

Best regards

Hi,

I had an idea for the tree control. You can change the navigation between different layers as Link Tree.

I don`t know if this is useful.

Hello,

Thanks all for your answer.

Well my requirement is a tree for folders and files... What kind of solutions can we imagine for that ?

If you have any examples, I will appreciate of course !

Hope Visual composer will be the next wave of development.

Maybe you can use some iViews of the KM and use them in a html view.

Hi,

perhaps this will help you:

I don`t know any possibility to access the file system directly.

Hi Aurélien,

I guess what you want is to be able to navigate through the file system of the ABAP server (or the J2EE server ?) rather than your own file system.

I think there a loads of solution for this. Here are some hints :

element

3) Visual Composer : using a table and some link, you may reproduce a kind of tree

4) Flex (stand-alone) : have a look at this http://weblogs.macromedia.com/khoyt/archives/2004/12/file_explorer_i.cfm

5) Web Dynpro: I guess this could be done the same way as BSP

Hope this helps!

Best regards,

Guillaume

Hi,

welcome to the world of Visual Composer.

1) You must deploy your model into portal, there is no other way.

2) There is no tree control available in Visual Composer.

I don't know any workaround, maybe you can give me more information about your requirement, so that I can think about a solution.

For further information have a look into this documents:
