Basis Team not able to see the SAP PI 7.3 in the marketplace to download it?

We are running the SAP PI 7.1 EHP1. We want to update it to the newest version of SAP PI/PO 7.3. Basis team have tried there level best to find it on the marketplace but it isn't seem to be available. What could be the possible cause of this issue? OR where we will be able to find it?

Hi Naveed,

PI installation is part of NW. Installation guides from SMP will provide you detailed information.

To install an SAP system or parts of an SAP system the first time:

DVD:

Installation Master/Kernel/TREX (if available)

SAP EHP1 FOR SAP NW PI 7.x

SAP EHP1 FOR SAP NW MOBILE 7.x

SAP EHP1 FOR SAP NW ABAP 7.x

Installation Options

You can install SAP NetWeaver PI in different ways.

In releases prior to SAP NetWeaver 7.3, an SAP NetWeaver PI installation was always based on both AS ABAP and AS Java (dual-stack). As of SAP NetWeaver 7.3, you have the option to choose an AS Java-only installation option, the Advanced Adapter Engine Extended.

if we opt to go the Java only option, would iFlow work then?

Yes..you have to download and install NWDS from SMP and configure.

So that you can able to work with iFlows.

Hi Naveed,

SAP do not have separate PI for download. You can use download NW 7.3 or NW 7.4 and upgrade your SAP NW PI7.1 to NW 7.3. Please check the SAP PAM.

However if you want to install PI/PO (java stack only) you may consider to do fresh installation.
