What are diagnostic Agents in Solution Manager?

Hello Experts,

I am beginner to Solution manager, i want to know the concept of Diagnostic Agent, why they are needed ? where they are configured?

How to install diagnostic agents?

Hello Ashwini ,

To summarize, the Diagnostics Agent is installed in the managed system host to mainly collect metrics and perform some actions and later on report information back to the solution manager and the Enterprise Manager.

Diagnostic agents gather information from managed systems, and the information from managed system is then reported to SAP Solution Manager System for analysis.
