Document type '' not defined Message no. 26168 error

Dear All

I am getting the above mentioned error (or screenshot 2) when I am trying to view a document saved in a Folder in DMS in transaction CV01N (Screenshot 1).

FYI, the object links are not defined for this particular document type, but the same error also appears for the documents having object links defined. I have searched and I found that there is an SAP NOTE 675056 released for a similar kind of error but in the symptom it describes as below in Screenshot 3 which is not the case since the originals are attached.

Please help to rectify the error.
