SUM is forcing to remove Java stack custom components

Hi All,

We are upgrading our dual stack system which has our several custom Java Development components developed -

Current Release - NW 7.0 Dual stack SP18

Target Release - NW 7.31 Dual Stack SP16

We are facing an issue during Upgrade for our customized Components, SUM is asking either to upgrade or remove these components on system.

But as part of this upgrade, We only want to upgrade SAP standard patches and want our developed\third part patches on same level but somehow SUM

is not allowing to do this.

We have only "SCAN INBOX" and "REMOVE" option for components and there is no "KEEP VERSION" option for Java custom components.

Please suggest do we have any way that SUM only upgrade SAP standard patches and does not touch our customized and third party software.

Regards,

Shivam

We removed custom components and planning to reapply them after upgrade as we do not find any other solution for this.

Hello Shivam,

It seems that this is a case for SAP Note:

1824237 - Redeploying customized development components with SUM

Currently the note is not available (probably a new version will be available soon), but you can check it by the end of the week or next week.

I hope this helps.

Regards,

Cris
