Hi,
We have the CIF integration model active to transfer production orders from R/3 to SCM-APO.
When we create a production order in R/3 it is getting transferred over to SCM and can be seen in Product view for the material-plant combination.
If we have the distribution key as GLEI on the production order in R/3, and we looked at stock requirements list-MD04 the receipts were split across evenly from the start date to the end date of the production order.
However, in the product view of SCM, the material was shown as available only at the end date of the production order with the full quantity.
Please provide any pointers as to something we might have missed out that made the CIF'ing not work properly...
Thanks & Regards,
Renjith John Andrews
Hi
You need to check your PPM for the material-plant you have.
It needs to have the value 'C' for continuous consumption in the Consumption type for your finished material (Field MATCO).
By default it will set the finished material to 'E' for available at the end rather than continuous. You can set this to change based on the value in GLEI in the CIF enhancement for the PPM's.

Hi Renjith
Sorry, my memory is a bit hazy on this one as I did this around 5 years ago. As far as I can remember, you should just need to change the value in the user-exit of SCM. Once the PPM has been created through the CIF, it should maintain this value. You should not have to change it on R/3 as I do not believe that this will have an impact in APO.
Hi Ian,
Thanks for your reply.
However, when you say PPM, do you mean production process models...
In my case though we are transferring production orders and it is not getting distributed in the product view. In R/3 in the stock requirments list - MD04, the qty is distributed across start to end dates of the production order. However, in SCM in product view the whole qty is available at the end date. Let me know if i got it wrong...
Please bear with my questions, as i am technical person coming to terms with SCM/APO .
Thanks & Regards,
Renjith
Hi Renjith
Yes I do mean the Production Process Model. To check setting you need to do the following:
Transaction /sapapo/scc03
Click on choose plan via PPM and enter your material and location and press change.
Double click your operation
Double-click your activity
On the components tab you should see your "Output" material (Type O in I/O Indicator field), next to this should be the consumption indicator field. This is the one that has to be set to 'C'.
Hope this helps.
Regards
Ian
