Unable to activate Business Function SAP Retail in IDES ECC6 EHP7

Former Member

Hi All,

We are trying to activate Business Function SAP Retail through switch frame work which gives an error "The Business Function BSCBN_HANA_NAV can only be activated if a HANA DB is available". We are running SAP ERP 6, EHP 7 IDES system on Max DB and we do not need to activate BSCBN_HANA_NAV, but it is getting selected by default. Even if we try to uncheck the specific business function and try to activate SAP Retail Business function, it still gives the same error message and terminates.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Go to transaction sfw5

2. Select Business function set as SAP Retail

3. Check the box under Planned Status corresponding to ISR_RETAILSYSTEM

4. Click on Activate changes

5. In the Activate System Settings Pop Up, again click on Activate Changes

6. You get the error message ""The Business Function BSCBN_HANA_NAV can only be activated if a HANA DB is available"

Screen shot attached

Could you please help

Thanks,

Heinz Kappan

Hi Herman,

Please try this, for me the i applied the first note and it resolved the issue:

2090855 - Deactivation of SAP HANA Search business function without

SAP HANA database

1939241 - Missing link to Business Function (BF) documentation for BFs

BSESH_HANA_SEARCH and BSCBN_HANA_NAV

Thanks,

Thank Heinz,

I have the corrections for the note implemented but still the same.

Did you do anything special after or just un-ticked the BSCBN_HANA_NAV and save?

Hi Heinz ,

It looks to be program error .I feel program corrections should be available but this being IDES a newer version might have this issue fixed.
