Thanks

Hi Ginger,

I have exactly the same problem after the update.

Everything seems to be installed but the designer perspective is not there.

I have reported it at SAP, hopefully they will answer soon.

Hi Martin

We just got a resolution.   We have java 1.6 and 1.7 is required for the latest update on the HCI tools.  The HCI team will update the documentation to ensure this is clear.

In http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-28325 in FAQ # 8, it says Java 7 is default but most tools works on Java 6.   However, for the latest update of HCI, Java 7 is required - this scn document will be updated soon.

Thanks to and for working on this to help us figure out the issue!

Thank you very much, Ginger!

You were right, I was also on Java 6 still, although I thought I was running Java 7.

The perspective is back again.

Hi Ginger,

Go to Help->Install New Software-> and use https://tools.hana.ondemand.com/luna/ in the "Work with" field, then select SAP HANA Cloud Integration Tools and click on Next.

You should probably install SAP HANA Tools and SAP HANA Cloud Platform Tools as well if you are working with UI5 or XS Server.

Cheers,

Pavel
