Hi,
Are you still in SolMan 7.0? Incidents are viewed in a BSP page(TA SM_CRM) if you are in SolMan 7.1. Anyway, what is the reference date pertaining to? Is this manual or automatically filled up?
If the column is not available in the report, maybe you can try to make a custom report. or try other reports such as RDSWP_REP_SERV_DESK.

After an initial transition with the old transaction types, I think you should consider using the CRM UI , with the new transaction types. The method to make your own fields appear in a search result view are considerably different to the SAP GUI ways.
Please check SAP Note 1567003. It is a FAQ on Solution Manager 7.1 ITSM.
