Inspection Lot -Handling Unit

Hi,

Inspection lot is created which is HU managed. Stock  of the lot is transferred to the blocked stock (without UD) & user has transferred the stock from block to unrestricted.

Now user want to do Material to Material transfer but getting error inspection lot is exists for HU managed batch.

Does cancellation of the lot will solve this issue? If yes there will any other error for further transaction.

Hi Vivek,

Please can you answer a few queries to understand the process followed for your case -

a) HU managed inspection lot created for inspection type 04 (?). What was the system status for your inspection lot at that time?

b) Stock was transferred to blocked stock. What was the system status for your inspection lot at that time? Is it done via QA11/COWBPACK/or any custom Tx?

c) Any specific reasons for skipping the UD = R, before putting the stock on "Blocked Stock".

d) User has moved the stock form BLOCKED to UNRESTRICTED using HUMO or any other transaction?

e) Have you tried to cancel the "HU" using HU02? Any specific process you wish to follow using material to material transfer? Which inspection lot you are now trying to cancel?

Not very sure, but I think once your HU is dis-engaged form Inspection lot, you can try reversing the inspection lot. I found out a discussion thread  - To cancel the Inspection lot and GR posting aft... | SCN

Also, you can check the SAP Note Number 175842 - Inspection lot: Reversal of goods movements from UD.

Please try to replicate the same scenario in SBX/Quality system and check if this is working for you.

Hi Anjit,

Answere of your question are given below.

a) lot origin is  08 and status of the lot is INSP RREC SUB HUM.

b) Stock is moved to bloock using HUMO.

c) Don't know the reason.

d) moved to unrestricted using HUMO.

e) I have not tried to cancel the HU using HU02.We use MB1B for material to material transfer.

Error details

HU team refers to an inspection lot.

1. Diagonsis.

Handling unit xxx is in quality inspection lot xx

Before goods movements are posted, the system must check the
quality management allow those goods movements. The control table for this
check (TQHU1) is not maintained for the movement type 309.

B.System response.

System cannot post this good movement.

C. Procedure.

Mainatain allowed goods movement for QM

Hi Vivek,

Thanks for your answer.

It seems, you are not trying to cancel the inspection lot linked HU, and still trying to post material to material transfer with MvT 309. As your material is Quality managed hence you are not able to do so.

Please can you try to activate the inspection lot creation in MvT 309 in the below config -

Quality Management => Quality Inspection => Inspection Lot Creation => Inspection for Goods Movements => Deactivate Quality Inspection for a Movement Type => MvT 309 => Uncheck the box "QM not Active". After that it should create a 08 inspection lot.

Please re-generate this scenario in quality/sandbox system and check if this is working now for you.

Hi Arijit,

We have suggested user to cancel the inspection and do the material to material transfer.

Inspection lot is cancelled and no error is occurred while material to material transfer.
