SAP Afaria on premise vs cloud

Hi Experts,

We are planning to implement SAP mobility with Afaria but would like to know the pros and cons of cloud v/s on premise model. Could anyone please help me with your expiriences in determining which is better ?

It really depends on your business needs as to which one is better.  Cloud has simplified setups and the updating is taken care of by SAP on a schedule. 

On prem is more customer intensive on setup but additional features such as session manager are supported. The customer has more control over all aspects of the server.   Depending on your client type, this may be the better option but not necessarily.

Can you provide more details on what type of devices you are looking to manage, and how many?  What features are you looking for?

Type of devices: IOS, Android, RIM, IPAD, desktop (BYOD solution). Our user base is 2000

Important Feautres:

Pin Based Authentication

Device enrollment code for unique device

Anti Virus

GEO fencing

Email security

Wipe/lock out via SMS

Data Encryption

Data loss and device detection

Reporting and Analytics

Also, I am trying to understand which one is cost effective in terms of licensing and support ?
