Migrating open sales orders to SAP with same confirmed delivery date.

Hello,

We have open sales order in our legacy system with certain confirmed delivery dates to customer.

Now during cut over, the open sales orders will be migrated to SAP. We want sap to give the same confirmed delivery dates to customers when new sales orders are created in SAP . How can that be possible ?

regards

Pamela

If you get a different confirmed date after migration then either (a) the previous confirmed date was incorrect and not supported by actual inventory availability or (b) the inventory availability or ATP configuration in SAP is inaccurate (c) orders were entered in a different sequence and a wrong order got "dibs" on the inventory first.

If you correctly migrate the inventory data, the POs and whatever else is relevant to the ATP check in your system then this should not be a problem.

It should be part of UAT though.

Hi Pamela,

Two ways to do this -

1. Create supply situation similar to legacy and all the dates will stay.

2. Force the dates in the system. This can be done by updating V_V2 program code to pull data from a Z table.
