Setting permission for MIGO

Is it possible to set the permission further than the level of movement type?

For example in movement type "Transfer Posting" 311 with user A and B

A only allow to do "Transfer Posting" with the option "Material Document" or "Reservation" and not "Other"

While B is allow to use all option.

Allow with authorization concept only for movement type 311 and movement type 201(in case of reservation) for users A and B.

For the requirement both user can do 311 with the option of Material Document and Reservation.

But only B can do 311 with Other option.

What is your business process that requires such strange request?

It was requested by accounting department that all transfers should be done with reference from a request (reservation, material document) and not simple transfer without refer using "other". This is done so that everything can be trace back easily.

It is possible to say don't use this option but sometimes people just choose the easy way out so it better if we can just hide it.

From my experience it makes a huge difference if you only tell a user "do it that way" compared to explaining him why he should do it that way and not the other way.

If a users recognizes that there is some serious thoughts behind the command then he will usually not deviate from that. And you can make him clear that it is easy to monitor violations against the rules.

We just said it is not possible in standard, but you have the option of exits and BADIs to make your own checks and validations and restrict the posting by sending an error message.
