How operands for two rate registers get populated with their respective registers consumption value

Hi Friends,

I am trying to create Rate steps for two rate registers meter(on peak and off peak) using single RATE, please see the below table for RATE steps for both the registers,

R1_onpeak and R2_offpeak operand's category is quant and operand usage  is register, can anyone let me know how operand R1_onpeak and R2_offpeak get populated with their respective registers consumption value because I haven't seen anything which relate these operands to their respective registers, In case of single rate meter it obvious since only one register is there.

Variant            input operand            input operand               output operand

Quanti01         R1_onpeak                 R1_price                    R1_amount

Quanti01         R2-offpeak                  R2_price                    R2_amount

Many thanks

Veer

Hi Veer,

First of all my recommendation will be to create two different "register rates" if consumption is coming from two different register.

So create Rate 1 - PEAK_RATE

&

               Rate 2 - OFFPEAK_RATE

Do the rate determination using "register permissible rate type"

Determine "PEAK_RATE" with  "PEAK_RT" rate type

&

Determine "OFFPEAK_RATE" with  "OFFPEAK_RT" rate type

Now below is your answer

When you will install the device (with two register)

Put rate type - PEAK_RT for register which is capturing peak consumption

&

Put rate type - OFFPEAK_RT for register which is capturing off-peak consumption

So this way "PEAK_RATE" will get peak hour consumption & "OFFPEAK_RATE" rate will get off-peak hour consumption.

Hi Manoj,

Thanks for giving me your valuable time.

Yes you are correct,  using two different RATE it is clear but my query is  in case of single RATE for both rate type how consumption from registers get passed to the respective operands.

i.e    Rate category + Onpeak_rate type = Rate1

        Rate category +Onffpeak_ratetype = Rate1

Please note:- one RATE for both rate type.

Many thanks

Hi Veer,

A Register Permissible rate can have only one register relavant operand. as you need to mention the register operand in the rate header. So your scenario would not be possible.

Please have a look into IUT230 , its clearly stated there.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,
