suppress in crystal report

Hii,

I need one help. i am making one crystal report in which i am using suppress formula for a text field ,  if that field is applicable it will show the whole text but if it is not applicable then it should not show in report . suppress formula is working if it is not applicable it is not coming in preview but i am getting blank space in the place of that field .

i don't want the blank space is there any "formula" so that next field can go in the place of suppress field so that blank space wont come in report.

for reference i attached one copy in which blank space is coming but i want that below field should go up and it should maintain the gap

Thank you

Neelima

HI Neelima,

Place that text field in a section of its own.

For e.g: If the Text field is right now in Group Header, create a Group Header b section and place the text field in Group Header b.

Next, copy the suppression formula from the text field and use it to suppress the Group header b.
