menus and buttons missing after SPS implementation

Hello SAP gurus...

We are currently dealing with a very strange problem.

We are installing a completely new landscape, from scratch, with SAP NetWeaver 7.4 SR2 (to be used for SAP FIORI). Initially, the system has SPS8, with languages DE, EN and PT and everything works as expected, including a kernel upgrade to PL220.

After performing the installation and the post-installation activities, we upgraded the SPS level to the most current one available (using MOPZ, we installed SPS12, release mid-August 2015).

However, now all tcodes are missing the "System" and "Help" menus and most tcodes have no icons on the toolbar as well. Almost all the texts from other menus are missing (only a "? ?" replacing the texts) and the descriptions of the buttons that are still visible are gone!

We get different results when logging in using DE, EN or PT languages, but have missing icons/texts/menus on every language.

The SAPgui version does not seem to be a problem. The symptom is the same, whether we use version 7.30 or 7.40 (we tried several PL as well, all with the same results).

Has anyone experienced this? Any ideas on how to solve this problem?

thanks

Antonio

Hi,

FYI: problem solved!!

Today (September 25th 2015), SAP released a new dw package (PL221).

This HAS to be applied to the kernel and then you need to run report RSLANG20 (sap note 110910) with option "force mode".

and, "voilá", everything is back to normal!

Hope it helps you!

Cheers
