Scenario:
Users will be authenticated in the portal UME but mapped to a single user in GW where we host the UI5 application. Hence, we cannot use the SAPLOGON Ticket mechanism / SSO to have authentication between portal and GW. We need to use UIDPW.
Current Settings:
Followed SAP help and created a system / system alias with logon method = UIDPW. Did user mapping in admin user, end user and also in the portal role.
Issue:
Whenever we open the UI5 app in the portal, we get an authentication dialog box asking for userid/password for the GW server to open the UI5 application. Somehow the user mapping doesnt seem to work.
Note - The above works with SAPLOGON ticket mechanism.
Has anybody tried this and could give pointers as to what could be missing in our case.
Regards,
Parag.
Can you please provide httpwatch recording of the issue per KBA 1558903 for further analysis.
Thanks and Best Regards,
Gowrisankar
