Hi ,

   We are planned to install SAP BI 4.0 version . We having windows 2003 x64 bit operating system . Pls advice shall i install BI 4.0 in windows 2003 x64 64 bit operating system ?

Hi Daya Jha ,

Thanks for your reply . Pls advice as per instruction in PAM we need 16 GB RAM for production environemt . But we having 6 GB RAM . Shall we install BI 4.0 in 6 GB RAM . And also pls advive how much harddisk space we need ?

Again it was depend on your requirement as per the PAM you required below details

If you want to install standalone not for multi-user environment yo can deploy in 4 GB memory also but Hard-Ware minimum is 40 - 50 GB.

Pls advice , sap solution manager is compulsory for BI installation ? . Because we don't having solution manager in our landscape .

Hi Selvan,

Solution Manager is required for Software Download it was not mandatory for BOBJ Installation,

But necessary software is required for BOBJ Installation as per SAP PAM.

Thanks for tour support . We installed BI on a separate server successfully . We want to develop report viewing from development server . So request you to give me the steps for connectiong and configuring report viewing activities .
