NWA SOA global settings for HTTP Proxy - is required for what?

Hi,

the explanation provided by SAP in

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwmobile71/helpdata/en/45/6ddcba61781c8fe10000000a11466f/frameset.htm

is not really clear to me.

"To use Web services clients for external communication, you have to configure global HTTP proxy settings first. These global settings affect all Web services deployed on the server."

So if you deploy WebServices as receiver of e.g. PI messages on the PI server, you need to do this?

Or is this something besides PI?

Related settings are done at customer system (here QA system).

We are using a SOAP receiver channel on PI which fails with an error which seems to be about the proxy defined here:

Invalid response code 401 for the proxy address.

Server .

Any ideas or explanations are welcome.....

Best regards

Dirk

Hello Dirk,

Proxy settings are not mandatory, if your network has some proxy settings then it has to enabled to send the message.

Try once without proxy settings and please post in case if you get some error.

Hello,

these settings are done by the customer.

Not sure what they are used for.

So I am wondering if they are valid only for WebService Channels or if SOAP channels are affected as well.

Regards
