LSMW error

Dear Gurus,

I am trying to update a few fields into the customer master through LSMW. While I am trying to specify a file from the front end of my PC it is showing the imported data & converted data due to which it is not reading the specified file.

Please find the screen shot below,

Please let me know how to delete this permanently.

Rename the Converted Data to short text and retry

You haven't defined from where LSMW shall read your source file.You have to have an entry in one of the first to knots for "Legacy Data"  in the screen.

And you can simply overwrite the READ and CONV Data file to whatever you want, just put the cursor there and click the pencil.

As per your error screenshot , it is clearly showing that there are some wildcard values using in your source file ( ex --- "~" ,"-" ,"*") .please remove these in your source file and try again.

Hi,

Select the Imported data and converted data and delete it .

Then link your file from the desktop .

Of course it shows again as it is mandatory information, build automatically by concatenation of your project, sub-project and object name.

What problem? you did not even tell it yet.

You did not tell what error message you have and I do not see any screenshot with an error message.

I only see an incomplete maintained step 7

After deletion are you able to save it?

Save it and link your file from desktop.

This is a standard line which is always there, if you want to see how it looks if a wildcard is used then check
