Mutisource Support in IDT

Hi,

IDT 4.1 SP5 we should be create data found layer based on single-source based on one connection, for multiple connection do we have to go Mutisource. Is the multisource supports in IDT or we should go with UDT for multisource

Hi,

For multi source universe you need to go with multisource data foundation layer.Even now you are going with single source,select the multisource data foundation.with this in future also you can add more connections in the same DF.

If you have selected the single DF layer option then you can not convert to multisource DF.

Multisource universe you can only create by IDT.

Hi,

Multisource connection is the best way to have in Data Foundation (IDT) as you may need to add further connections in future then you can go for it. No need to create the whole DF again.

Multisouce connection option is only available in IDT , and its the advantage in here as compared to UDT, bcuz you can add mutliple databases in a single point and create a business layer easily.

Even if you need to add a new connection or edit any object , just do it DF and it will be reflected in a BL.
