ECC6 EHP4 to EHP8 upgrade

Hi

We want to upgrade non -unicode ECC6 EHP4 system on Oracle 11.2.0.2 to EHP8

Do i need to upgrade my Oracle to 11.2.0.4

Do i need to make system as Unicode before upgrade.?

Is the process similar to upgrade to EHP7 or any different?

Hi Tushar,

please have a look at SAP note 1322715 - point 6.

There you can read that it is NOT planned to provide a combined solution (CU&UC) for doing an upgrade and a Unicode conversion for SAP ERP EhP8 as target release.

Hence you need to do the Unicode conversion before doing the Upgrade.

Hi Tushar

1.  As per SAP PAM, EHP8 of SAP ERP 6.0 going to be release on 2016 Q1, Still the OS / DB details are not available in the PAM. you may be require to upgrade the DB / OS.

2. Upgrading path may be similar to EHP7.
