Error during configuration wp RZ10

Former Member

Hello,

I'm getting the next error during the configuration of the number of WP.

I can't change the number of configurable WPs in RZ10, It always stays in value 2.

In other system I´ve the value 16.

What's going on?

Regards.

Hi Ruben ,

How are you changing the parameters ? Are you changing from RZ10  ( Extended maintenance ? )

After adding the parameters  as suggested in my post , Save , activate . Shutdown the system

Wait ,

Dont start up  yet . Send your Instance profile from your OS level

Thanks,

Manu

I don't understand it.

The note 2001276, explains some parameters but I don't see about wp batch or the number of configurables.

I've activated 6 batch wp and It doesn`t effect in the system

I've changed directly into the parameter.

Yes, everytime.

I don't understand this behaviour...

I've this parameters defined:

rdisp/wp_no_dia                             10

rdisp/wp_no_btc                             6

rdisp/wp_no_vb                              1

rdisp/wp_no_vb2                             1

rdisp/wp_no_spo                             1

rdisp/configurable_wp_no                    16

rdisp/wp_no_restricted                      5

rdisp/wp_no_enq                             0

rdisp/wp_max_no                             21

rdisp/appc_ca_blk_no                        0

What I need to do to get 6 wp into SM50???

Believe the problem is with the following parameter

rdisp/configurable_wp_no

Check the following Note

2190597 - Work Process Configuration - Best Practices

rdisp/wp_no_dia                             10

rdisp/wp_no_btc                             6

rdisp/wp_no_vb                              1

rdisp/wp_no_vb2                             1

rdisp/wp_no_spo                             1

rdisp/configurable_wp_no                   19

rdisp/wp_no_restricted                      5

rdisp/wp_no_enq                             0

rdisp/wp_max_no                             24

rdisp/appc_ca_blk_no                        0

Set the parameters as above , save , activate . Restart the system and let us know the outcome

Remove the following parameters ( Delete from Instance and Default profile if present  )

rdisp/configurable_wp_no                   19

rdisp/wp_no_restricted                      5

rdisp/wp_no_enq                             0

rdisp/wp_max_no                             24

Save , activate and Restart the system and let us know the outcome

Also please read the Note

Thanks ,

Hello Ruben,

Please check your OP Modes with tx RZ04.

You may well be starting with 6BTC but then your OP Mode kicks in.

Check as I have mentioned above.

Hi Ruben,

Apart from earlier suggested. Do import the latest profile in RZ10. And do verify again once about your rdisp/wp_no_restricted    parameter is disabled in RZ11 for the instance which your changing parameter.

And then try to increase the work process using Instance operation modes. As per your understanding, Do go to change mode for same.

Hello,

I had an operation mode defined and asigned to operationmode. (Daymode) I didn't configure it...

It seems that is configured by default.

Hi Ruben,

Import active profile from RZ10. Create the OP modes in RZ04 and maintain the OP mode set in SM63. Maintain the profile and change the work process distribution.

Hi Ruben ,

What is your kernel version .

Is it 720(Ext)/721 (Ext ) . If it is

Read  under " Dynamic work processes (NetWeaver 7.00/7.01)"

1713986 - Installation of kernel 721 (EXT)

Thanks ,

Hi Ruben

Could you refer the SAP note for NW 7.4

Hi Ruben,

Do import the Profile in RZ10  for the import profile for active servers.

And delete the old RZ04 data and recreate the same with the new updated profiles.

Hi Ruben,

Can you re-import the profiles in rz10 and then try to change it, may system doesn't have the latest version of profile at application level.

Else you can change the parameters using "Extended maintenance" mode.
