Hi PM Guru,

In PM02 control key operation, I am not able to specify the detailed service item with the screen dump attached.

Please help with how to config the control key to make the service spec available to detail service.

Thank you,

Sally

Hi Sally

In Std SAP, PM02 is for Externally processed operation which is performed by internal resources.

If you need to have service spec or package, you need to use PM03 which is for External servcies wherein additional details such as service spec, purchasing data, etc are required.

Hi Pavan,

What is the use for PM02 as opposed to PM01?

Pls give me an example.

Thank you,

Saly

Hi Sally

PM01 -  This key is for internal operations which will be performed internally. Confirmation is required to calcuate costs. For example, regular maintenance job.

PM02 - This key is for external operations (which are performed outside of plant). It can be performed by plant resources or external resources. This is mostly used for sub-contracting case.  For example, refurbishment of spare parts, say some specialised welding process to be performed. PR is generated. MIGO is done against PO and then invoicing.

PM03 - This key is for external services. Job is executed by external resources. Service sheet entry calculates actual cost.

Hi Sally,

You need to check the Service in Control Key PM02 config

Path :

Plant Maintenance and Customer Service - Maintenance and Service Processing - Maintenance and Service Orders - Functions and Settings for Order Types -  Control Key - Maintain Control Keys

After this, you will be able to enter planned hours for PM02, which will be restricted as PM03

Greetings Sally,

In addition to what Terence wrote, please see the PM03 control key, which is externally processed, like PM02, but with Service spec.

Hi Sebastian,

With the Service Unticked, does it mean there is NO PR generated?

Thank you,

Sally

Hi Sally,

PR can be created, this will be based on the hours you have planned.

You cannot use service package and service entry sheet, rather you will be doing goods receipt.
