Difference between SFIN and Fiori for SFIN

Dear experts,

When I filtered Fiori apps for Simple Finance Add-on, I got 141 apps.

Just wondering the difference between Simple Finance and Fiori for Simple Finance.

As far as I know, both of their front-end technology is SAPUI5(Fiori style), so may I know any difference between them?Business logic or anything else?

Thanks a lot in advance!

Hi Chloe,

I agree with Santosh Varanish. Fiori on S/4 is HANA just for design. I already see S/4 HANA without Fiori and works fine. The Fiori was developed to increase the UX (user experience) and to get more mobility fot them.

Thank you.

Hi JPA,

May I know what's the frondend access way of S/4 HANA without Fiori?

Traditional GUI or Webdynpro or something else?

Cause I suppose S/4 HANA only use Fiori as the frontend technology....

Thanks a lot,

Hi Chloe,

Further to add comments mentioned by Rishab, Simple Finance offering reduced or restructured data model based on Hana Database. There are some new tables and views in Simple Finance. There will be data info changes for Fiori applications for Simple Finance.

There is no change in business logic. Further SAP mandated to access few transactions like Cash Management through FIORI due to its design. These transactions cannot be accessed through ECC.

Hope this helps.

Hi Santosh,

May I know what's "data info change for Fiori applications for Simple Finance"?

Is simple finance also delivered via "app or tile" on launchpad?

Thanks a lot indeed!

Hi Chloe,

To be specific to your questions, there are new tables (ex. ACDOCA)and architectural changes were introduced in Simple Finance. I really dont have an idea of data info for any apps or tiles provided. But these applications can be accessed only when you have simple finance in place.

With respect your second query, Is simple finance also delivered via "app or tile" on launchpad? - not entire Simple finance is delivered via "app or tile". but few transactions/reports made it available through app or tile base. (like Cash & Liquidity Management).

Hi Chloe,

SAP Simple Finance is the latest offering of SAP in area of Finance which has following key features:-

1) HANA based system

2) reduced data model

3) Integrated Business planning functionality

4) Smart Cash management & liquidity management

5) Fiori apps for the various areas like AP, AR, GL, CO etc.

Other Fiori apps which are released previously are also available.

So when you say Fiori for Simple Finance it is the set of new Fiori apps which are created for Simple Finance area or with S/4 HANA based system

Hope this answers your query.
