Inbound EDI from Customer

Hi,

We have a scenario where Plant 1234 is creating Scheduling Agreements with the end customer. When the customer sends the requirements thru EDI then it comes and updates the scheduling agreement created in Plant 1234 in SAP. Going forward, we will have a new plant ABCD (separate company code) that will now be creating the Scheduling Agreements and the EDI from customer needs to update this new Scheduling Agreement. Now my question is that will this require any change in EDI mapping from customer end? When customer will send the requirements then how will system identify that the requirements need to be updated in the new scheduling agreement instead of old scheduling agreement.

Thanks,

Karan

Not sure how we can answer this intelligently on SCN without knowing any details... Are you using a standard program? What is the IDoc/message type? What are the partner profile settings?

Applying simple logic though: as long as scheduling agreements are of the same type and plant # is not hardcoded anywhere - why would mapping need to be changed? But we can't know here how the interface is configured in your system.
