"Activity Report" in WoC Self-Service-Overview

Hello everyone,

i got a question from one of our customers if it is possible to get access to the "Activity Report" from his employees? Actually the Report is only accessable from the employee itself.

Reason is that generally when you open a Report , only the first 40-60 characters are visible. The customer requires the "Activity Report" from all the employees in order to check what work has been done (in full lenth of sentence), which is posted in their reports.

The Analytics Framework in Business ByDesign supports only a maximum of 60 characters. This is designed system behavior. Irrespective of which report you access, all reports have this restriction of characters to 60.

Could you please elaborate more on "if it is possible to get access to the "Activity Report" from his employees?" statement? Are you referring to the Activity history report in Home workcenter?

thanks for your answer. Thats the reason why our customer is looking for a alternativ to get the Information about the work that have been done from his employees.

If the purpose is to track the task/work performed by the employees then you can make use of the report - Team Member Work Analysis which assimilates information of every employee's work associated with Projects and Services.

Here, when you use the Activity Report option from the UI, you also have the Notes field but in reports, say for example the Team Member Work Analysis report, you will not be able to find the field because enabling Notes field would not make sense due to the limitation in the number of characters in reports.

Any field value that has more than 60 characters will be cut off in Reports and unfortunately we do not have a workaround for this.
