DMS CAD Integration

Dear All,

I am new to DMS.

Could someone teach me how to do CAD integration in SAP so that user can directly save cad documents in SAP DMS?

Please tell me about the steps, configuration I need to do to enable this function.

Besides, does the integration need any hardware / software support?

Please help with great thanks.

Hi Jasmine

DMS and CAD integration are both Cross-Application Components.

If you activate any PLM WebUI components, they will be alined in Product Lifecycle Management.

DMS is a tool to manage different types of documents. Design models and drawings are some certain kinds of document type. With CAD integration tools, you will be able to check in and manage these models and drawing to DMS.

Hi,

Yes you require an additional software for CAD integration with SAP.

Check the WIKI pages which explain about CAD integration.

There are few settings needs to be done from ECC side line CDESK once you go through the above wiki you may have better idea.
