Feasibility of PI 7.4 Dual Stack Upgrade

Hello Experts,

I have a requirement to upgrade PI 7.1 dual stack to PI 7.4 dual stack.

I have referred SAP’s dual stack system’s support strategy and NetWeaver 7.40 release notes for compatibility. And in both sources, SAP has confirmed the feasibility of upgrading of SAP PI 7.1 dual stack system to 7.4 dual stack version.

1751237 - Add. info about the update/upgrade to SAP NetWeaver 7.4 (incl. SPs and SRs)

However, I need your confirmation on this requirement and let me know if at all any technical/functional limitation in upgrading PI 7.1 dual stack system to 7.4 version.

Hi Praloy,

AFAIK there is not limitation but you will need to take into account your own developments in java mappings, UDFs, module adapters because the java virtual machine changes. Also if you choose PI 7.4 single stack you can't use ccBPMs.
