Inbound email Issue

Hi !

We have inbound emails setup on many of our SAP systems.

Till a few weeks back all was Ok...

Suddenly the Inbound email processing has become super slow...i.e. the emails reach SAP after around 6-7 hours !

Also, we end up receiving multiple copies of the emails...

After some talk with Microsoft, we realized that the problem is SAP responding back with 25 instead of 250...

i.e. As per link:

Instead of a 250 response, as highlighted, I see a 25 response via telnet.

The mail sent via telnet does reach SAP immediately, but the Subject & contents are missing...

Thus, when Outlook tries to transmit these mails to SAP, its unable to do so since it does not recognize 25:

As the normal SMTP reply codes are all three-digit, but here it is illegal. The response “25 OK” from SAP led to the error “The connection was dropped because a response was illegally formatted. The error is: Response text was incorrectly formed.”

Please advise if there's something missing at SAP's end...how do I get SAP to respond with 250 instead of 25...
