Objects not visible in ESR after transport from one SWCV to another one

Hi guys,

I'm sure some of you faced the same issue.

I have some objects in one SWCV in ESR of PI 7.31 and wanted to transport them to a different SWCV.

But the objects in the new SWCV are not visible, however, when I try to retransport them, the app says the target objects are newer and it's skipping the transport.

Do you have any ideas please, how to solve this?

Maybe important info is, that the Service intarface and dependent objects I want to transport were in a folder and first time I didnt transport the folder (it was there already).

But now even I try to do it with the folder, it doesn't work.

Any ideas please?

Thanks in advance

For whom comes accross the same issue: Create a new Software Component >VERSION< (e.g. 2.0) of the same SWC and transfer the objects using the Release Transfer into the new version. The objects will shop up again. Of course this is only a workaround if you can't solve it otherwise. It means you need to update the ICOs/IFlows to use the objects of the new SWCV.

Hi guys,

any ideas here please? It's starting to be urgent for me

So once again the whole thing:

I wanted to move some objects from one SWCV to another one, I used the standard ESR transfer functionality, but the object were not visible there.

I tried to do it thene again, but the transfer now says the target objects are newer then the source ones. But they are not visible there.

Any hints please?

Hi Peter,

The standard transfer will only work when the namespace name is same between SWC.

Please also check if you have any dependency between the SWC.

Hi,

If you want to transfer the object from single ESR from one SWCV to other, then please use the release transfer option. refer the below page for more details

Transferring Design Objects - Enterprise Services Repository - SAP Library

Hi Harish,

that's what I did.

I use a standard functionlity but the objects are not visible there. That's the problem here.

Thanks,

Peter

Hi Peter,

Do you see any logs in Conflicts tab in your ESR.

Hi Vishnu,

there were some conflicts first but I resolved them.

Still no objects visible.
