Autosys - SAP Job scheduling

Hello,

We have a job that we run in SAP-ECC through SM37 in background.

Is there anyway to get a job completion/failure status of a job from SAP system, if that job is not triggered through Autosys but triggered directly through SAP-SM37?

What are my options here? To get/track a particular JOB status in Autosys? This job is not triggered from Autosys.

Hi Praveen ,

Do you have solution manager in your landscape . If you search in  SCN , you could find different ways to do job monitoring using solution manager

Or else

Hello Manu, Thanks for responding.

The job we are running through SM37 is a pre-requisite job for another job that is triggered via Autosys.

Therefore, Autosys needs to know when this pre-requisite SAP job finishes.

Any ideas?

Apologies , I didnt understand your question in your first post  correctly . So please ignore my first comment .

Why dont you also schedule the  pre-req job also from autosys ?

If you are  using a job scheduler  ( Autosys) , believe it will be better if all the scheduling are done via that  .

I  have never used autosys , But believe all the  standard job scheduler's will be able to replicate any scheduling already done on a SAP system . Please consult with your 'Autosys' Admins .
