SAP PI system Migration to New Hardware

Hello Friends,

We are in planning to perform PI system migration to new hardware. Good thing is that there wouldn't be Host or IP change during migration.

Could you please share your experience with such scenario? As this is a PI system, I am bit concern about it's interfaces.

What would be the right approach to follow to achieve this.

It is a dual stack (ABAP + JAVA)

Thank you.

Hi Mukesh,

You should assure the java virtual machine will not be changed in the change and the PI will configured according the new hardware, for example if you will have more memory this parameter can be adjust to take benefits of this new hardware. At beginning, you shouldn't have any technical problem. However you should assure this change will not affect to endpoints partners on a business logic view.

Also for your own relief you can contact with SAP and to ask if the new hardware is supported or it can generate any conflict.

Regards.

Thanks Inaki,

what approach,we should follow to start the Migration, whether export/Import or simple we can ask OS team to copy everything from one location to another.

My doubt in Export/Import is, whether configuration will come in new system or we have to reconfigure everything.

Regards

Mukesh
