SAP Router Fail-over for Fault Tolerance

Hi,

We have 2 ISP (Internet Service Provider) with load balancing and fail over. If the primary ISP fails, internet will automatically connected to secondary ISP, same with our Email  setup .. I'm just thinking if this setup can be done in SAP Router, once the the primary is down the secondary will up.

Hi Vernold,

As far as I'm aware there is no high availability at SAP Router level, you will need to use HA at OS level to cover the SAP Router as single point of failure like MS Cluster or VMWare FT.

You can also use a low-tech option of having a second SAP Router and create another "backup" entry in the SAPLogon for each systems but this is not ideal.

Is it possible to register two different Public IP for SAP router? Having 2 different ISP has also different Public IP addresses.
