Now I turn back to SP4 Hfx19 , but Afaria still not work. For example:

  • Afaria Service stopped suddenly

  • When I try to push policy I get this error :

API0000: Fatal Exception: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it 10.40.1.172:8085

  • I look at logs and erros I get those errors:

XRS4940: Service: An unexpected error has occurred in the following Afaria component: XComms.exe. The service is stopping.  EXPLANATION: A fatal error occurred that could not be handled. All communications are disabled.  ACTIONS: Close all other Afaria applications, then attempt to start the Afaria service again. If this error persists, try shutting down the machine before restarting the service. If this error still persists, contact your support representative.

API0000: Unexpected Error: ASS0051 Details: ServerService.StartServer: Starting transmitter through transmitter object. An instance of the service is already running.

HR=80070420,  Exception: An instance of the service is already running.

  HR=80070420

And some other SQL errors:

Tevfik,

When you restored, you need to bring both the server and the DB back to the original same code level before you can try to upgrade again.  Assuming that has happened, this latest error looks like a mixed code issue.  Either HF 19 was not fully applied to all components, or it didn't fully apply.   Make sure that HF19 was applied to all components and when you installed it, that all processes beginning with X were not in memory at the time.  (services fully stopped)  When you install, right click and choose run as Administrator to start the upgrade process.

Hello Tevfik,

To solve that problem restore your system and db back to SP4 and follow up with KBA  2084102. This should solve that problem.

Hi,

I restore DB backup. But not have Afaria 7SP4 Server Side backup.

In upgrade process, upgrade aborted in Afaria server installation.

SO after DB restore I try to reinstall SP4 Hfrx 19. Bu get an  error

Seems Like Afaria 7 SP5 installing on Server . I look at properties of

C:\Progrim Files(x86)\Afaria\Setup.exe and see details:

Product Version: 7.00.6620 SP5

Is there any chance to restore SP7Hfx19 ?.

No need Policy or channels. I just need only enrolled devices.

Dear Customer,

For this issue, I think you can delete all entries from A_PACKAGE_DOWNLOAD and have a try.

However, deleting data should always be with caution. Backups should be created beforehand.

In addition, please follow the upgrade guide for SP5 and you can find it on the sap service market place.

Hopefully it would be helpful.

Best Regards,

Kevin.

Hi Tevfik,

There is a knowledge base article

2158094 - SQL error while installing Afaria 7 SP5 Hot fix 10

Check this.

It requires you to do a manual step before upgrade.

Hope this helps.
