Problem with putaway to fixed bins

System is not proposing the fixed bin from its material master.  Material master is maintained with the fixed bin data . Picking area is empty in the MLGT table.

Apart from maintaining the bin in material master your putaway strategy also should be defined as Fixed for the storage type and accordingly you need to define the storage type search sequence. Please share the configuration steps

Putaway strategy in configuration was existing to stock location. So put away transfer order was defaulting to a next empty bin location even though we had fixed bin information in the material master when there was no existing stock.

Is there a way i can have system propose fixed bin location while putaway even after having the putaway strategy with existing to stock location configuration.

How do you expect system to propose fixed bin when your configuration is addition to existing stock  ?

System deliver the output based on your setting if your requirement is that system should propose fixed bin then define the fixed bin or else if your requirement is to propose the fixed bin first and then any other empty bin in the warehouse then you need to write your own custom putaway logic ( MWMTO007 or MWMTO003)

I doubt that an empty picking area field has something to do with a putaway.

Did you only maintain storage type view in material master?

Is it a new process for you?

What customizing have you done?
