E-mail Access Request

Former Member

Hello,

Ower situation is the following in access request:

We create a request and this is approved by the responses, they receive a notification in your in box, and they can approve, or reject.

However, our doubt is besides receiving the notification in the in box, the user shouldn't also receive an e-mail? And the own user that make a request shouldn't receive an email?

The users have the e-mail in SU01.

The process work fine, except of this.

We saw the document scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-1595 and the thing that could be wrong is related with perform automatic workflow customizing

Could be because of this?

Inês

Hi Ines,

you can remove entries from Notification settings(process and stage level), in MSMP. This does not affect, items being received in work Inbox

Hello,

The mail to approver goes as per notification setting set at stage in MSMP.

and those approver at that stage should have email id maintained in SU01 of GRC system and WF-BATCH user should also have email id maintained.

Hi Ines,

could you try using GRFNMW_CONFIGURE_WD, as GRFNMW_CONFIGURE is Expert mode, and might lead to inconsistencies in configuration.

yes, the option is Maintain Notification settings, at Stage level, and you can do the same in either GRFNMW_CONFIGURE_WD, as GRFNMW_CONFIGURE

Hello Prasant,

The Manager, Role owner, Risk Owner have the email maintained in SU01 and also WF-BATCH.

Only approver receives the email, and if we go to SOST we don't have any email triggered.

`Hello Ines,

Since Notification setting is blank no email will be sent.

you have to maintain notification events under notification setting and for the stage where you need to send email.

let me know incase you need further details.

Hello Prasant,

Sorry for the delay. Thank you very much for your help, we can get to work sending email .

One more question, related with user. If we want the user receive the e-mail, we set in notification settings:

or create a new stage in maintain paths?

Thank you Prasant.

hello,

notification settings are maintained at stages level, whenever request reaches that stages or approved or reject that stage it is an event for triggering mail.

respective notification has to be set for each stages.

Prasant

Hi,

Stages basically is meant to decide the number of approvals per workflow before the actual provisioning happens. You can set notification at every stage. And in every notification, you can set GRAC_USER Agent ID for the user to receive notification email for different notification events.

Hope this helps. Let us know in case you need any other information

Hi Plaban,

In your first answer, for this issue, you said:

'Hi Ines,

you can remove entries from Notification settings(process and stage level), in MSMP. This does not affect, items being received in work Inbox

regards

Plaban'

And I interpreted that was to remove, sorry for this misunderstanding.

Inês
