SAP DMS maximum allowed original size

Hello,

We are using SAP DMS with KPRO activated and a third party content server (OpenText). Currently the maximum size allowed for each DMS original file stored is limited to 2 GB, if i try to upload a bigger file (e.g. 2.4 GB) the error message "Attention: Error while saving original: Different file size!" is raised.

Is it possible (and how) to increase the maximum allowed upload limit (and how much) and who is currently limiting this, kpro or the content server?

King regards,

Dacian

Dacian- What is the file format you are using to store the originals in KPRO.

Hi Sundhu,

We are using multiple file formats (.doc, .docx, .pdf, .xls, ...) but in this case i used .zip file to test storing originals bigger than 2 GB. All this file formats (including .zip) are define in SPRO -> "Define workstation application".

Hi Micle,

The restriction is at content server side,The combination of IIS 7.0 and windows server will have this limitation check the parameter maxAllowedcontentLength the re start the whole server including the IIS and content server then try attaching the document with more sizes.

Check this link https://websmp103.sap-ag.de/~form/handler?_APP=00200682500000002672&_EVENT=DISPLAY&_SCENARIO=&_HIER_...

Hi Dacian,

we are running an file system based SAP content server with IIS. There is a setting in IIS that limits the file size (IIS manager, specific site settings, features tab, request settings.

There's a similar setting in Tomcat.
