Adobe form issue while using Simsun fonts

Hi All,

I am facing an issue with my adobe form when i use Sim-sun font.

when we execute the form we are able to create the spool request correctly but when sent to printer no action is performed at printer.

even printer is not accepting any paper and not even returning any error.

Appreciate your thoughts on this .

Hello Santosh

Are you able to open the PDF form in the preview mode from the spool request (glass button in SP01 transaction).

Have you added the font to XDC file?

Please check also SAP note 423003.

Hello Andrey,

yes, I am able to see the preview in SP01, but when I give print directly from SP01 initial screen there is no physical action at printer.

Kindly let me know how to add  font to XDC file.

Hello Santosh

It looks you have one of two problems:

1. Your font is not added on ADS

2. Your font is not supported by the printer

For the first point please follow instructions (this must be done by your SAP basis team responsible for ADS)

For the second point please contact your IT team to check if the Simsun font is supported by the printer device.
