Do we need to create new client and perform client copy before configure Solution Manager (SOLMAN_SETUP)

Dear experts,

I am new in Solman.

I have installed Solution Manager 7.1 SPS4.

Then, I straightly upgraded it to SPS 13.

Now, I would like to configure this solman (solman_setup) from System Preparation, Basic Configuration, Managed System Configurations etc.

My question is, is it necessary for me to create new client and perform client copy first before configure solman?

(For example: create client 100. Then perform client copy 001>100)

Or can I straightly configure Solman using default client 001?

you can create a new client as per recommendation and then start the configuration for the same...

Hi

I would recommend you create the custom client using client copy profile SAP_UCSV by copying source client from client 000 and Source client User Master from client 001
