LMDB - Extended ID issue for HANA Database with HA virtual Host Name

Dear Experts,

We have HANA DB in HA environment. We have done SLD registration for all HANA database. Now, the extended ID is duplicated in LMDB. We have referred the SAP note  however it is only applicable for ABAP or JAVA application.

first node  host name where HANA is active - hana-<sid>1

virtual host name for HANA cluster - hana-<sid>

we are getting the HANA DB like below in LMDB

PRD on hana-<sid> (virtual host name)

PRD00001 on hana-<sid>1 (first node host name where HANA is active and running)

Application server ABAP

PRD on hana<sid> (virtual host name of HANA cluster )

If I run assign product system for PRD on hana-<sid> for HANA DB, it is not assigning automatically. but automatic assignment is happening for PRD00001 HANA DB entry. How to resolve this.

With regard to extended SID duplication please check SAP Note 1653025 to see if this can help.

In terms of the resource you used or are using to assist with configuration, I suggest that you follow

the SCN wiki on this configuration to ensure that no steps are amiss:

To account for potential orphans when attending to a renaming process please review note 1726777.
