Reducing size of row store table (alert ID 67)

Hi HANAers,

We keep getting this message every once in a while.

snapshot   : <date and time>

Alert Name : Table growth of rowstore tables

Rating     : Error

Details    : Rowstore tables on host <hostname>, port <port num> have grown significantly.

User Action: Try to reduce the size of row store table by removing unused data

I looked at the link below:

but there is no recommendation on how to do that.

Was wondering if there is a given method to resolve these alerts.

Hi Manish,

Please refer the SAP note below for the steps that could be taken to address such ALERT ID 67 for *Table growth of Row Store tables*

After identifying the top 20 largest ROW Store tables the note suggests actions such as Housekeeping and moving large Application tables from Rowstore to Columnstore if applicable
