Filter table with 2 range

Hello,

I want to filter a field of table in the data foundation of an analytic view with two ranges, but I can just include one range.

Do you know how to do it? or what alternatives I have?

In the following example, I want to filter the Record Type (VRGAR) with 2 range, B - L and P - X.

Thanks, Fede

Hi,

  1. Create calculation view and consume your current Analytic view in Projection / Aggregation
  2. Go to Filter -> Expression which is at right side and under 'OUTPUT' panel
  3. Apply your desire filer on same column / create your own filter expression.

It will work.

Hi Federico,

This cannot be done in Analytic View, better to go with Calculation view. If you want to do in analytic view only, then you have to use List of Values and give all the specific values like B,C,D,..,L, P, Q,R,...,X.

In calculation view, use two projections with individual filters and then union them again.

Hi Chandra,

That is what I thought, there is no way to filter data by two ranges in an analytic view. A mix of both solutions you provided me is what I did.

It's a pitty don't have that possibility.

Thanks for you help.

Hi Federico,

Yeah, in analytic view we cannot filter with multiple ranges. That's why I proposed in Calculation view

Have two projections with separate range filters and union them again.

Chandra.
