Hi Experts,

We have noticed that job EU_INIT runs for a long time since 10.09.2015 until now and it causes slow performance of the system.

Our system is EHP3 FOR SAP CRM 7.0

In T-code: SM37

In T-code; SM50

This is our SPAM components;

Could you please advise?

Thank you.

Best Regards,

Fadzly Iqbal

The nice thing, you can stop it and it will pick up where you left off.

After doing EHp6, I would run it at night and kill it each morning, let it go on weekends. Took for ever but it finished. You need to run it since it re-indexs the table for where-used in ABAP.

Hi Fadzly,

In addition to the Note that Juan linked, if you are using SQL Server have a look at Notes 1554667 (Where-used list: Performance of job EU_INIT for index build on MSSQL) and 499858 (Change of clustered property for indexes on MSSQL). Changing the clustered index on WBCROSSGT made an orders of magnitude difference in our system for performance of this job.

You might additionally apply Note 1949236 (Start of job EU_INIT following upgrade or SP import; WBCROSSGT) to introduce manual control of the job and 2039618 (Size of table WBCROSSGT) if you need to reduce the size of this table in non-DEV systems.

Cheers,

Matt
