CHARM - User Manual For Admin Change & Urgent Changes

Hi ,

Can anyone please explain briefly regarding the difference between User Manual For Admin Change & Urgent Changes in CHARM.

Also autherization related issues will be consider under admin or urgent chagnes ?

Hi Vijay

Urgent change is mostly related to your development/change activity in your system which will require immidate movement to production system.

Admin changes are your BASIS/Authorization related changes which mainly dont involve any transport.

for authorization use the admin changes.

Hello RV,

It is a basic concept ,

anything which can't wait for planned schedule release becomes an Urgent change

something which goes as per planned is Normal Change

further any type of change can go as urgent or normal.

Hi Prakhar,

currently, unless a system is UC enabled in a ChaRM project, we can’t use the Admin Change for a
CR.  Is there a way to get around this in ChaRM, can we make Admin Changes available in the same way GC’s are selectable without having to configure the systems for UC’s.

Hi Zainul,

system can be designed the way you want but actually it is aligned to your process/specific requirements

you can create a admin change out of a CR and its pretty standard you don't need a UC for this.

Thank you Prakhar for your reply.

My concern is I want to create Admin change out of CR but it should work in a way like GC works.

We do not want developmenet system to reflect in Landscape assignment block of admin change.

What settings we need to perform in Project created.
