Then I run the following script:

./install.sh --action=update --sid=SID and get the following error instantly:

Hi SS,

I did not get your point by SAP KBA.

Incase you want to know the SAR file its TREX71_63-10004510.

Will try to follow the note and update you.

Regards.

Hi Ambarish

Since your Trex SP level is very old. you have to carry out the upgrade in  two different phases as per the SAP KBA 2073982.

1. From the current SP level 41 to 57 SP &

2. From SP level 57 to target level

Hi SS,

Phase 1 completed without any issues. 41-57.

But phase 2 is giving the same errors. I also tried with a lower version 62, but the error is same. Please check.

Hi Ambarish

From SP58 and above onwards you have to use the script based upgrade on Linux OS, could you try the following  command line

" install.sh --sid=<the SID> --action=update --restart --password=<the password>"

could you refer the SAP Note

2078548 - TREX 7.10: Update shows successful but nothing done

Hi Ambarish

Better you can raise the support ticket to SAP. and Kinldy share the SAP solution.

Hi Sri,

.snapshot which is an integrated feature of the storage was the reason of error. This had to be removed from the file location.

Next lockfile was not installed. Installed the same and then upgrade was successful.

Regards.
