Former Member

Hello specialist,

I need your help! I don't have permission to SM38/37 t-code in SAP due to fact that I'm only a SAP user.

I generated really big spool. Now i want to download it  to my local drive. How to do it?

I tried used SP01 t-code but I got ABAP Programming Error - Time _out

Is there another way to get this spool to my local drive? ( keep in mind that i don't have permission to technical t-code like se12/se38 etc ).

Kind Regards,

Luc

Hi Luc,

can you access your local SAP directories using TAC AL11? Depends on your spool and printer configuration though.

Kind regards.

Hello Diana,

Yes, I have an access to AL11 in my kernel. It's SAP Directories.

What the next steps should look like?

Hello Luc,

If you don't have permission to run tcd:SE38.

The only possible solution to download the spool to your local drive is as bellowing.

1.Set the display area from 1 to 10 pages.

2.Click the icon to display spool with only 10 pages, then you can download the first 10 pages.

3.Set the display area as from 11 to 20 so that you can download the next 10 pages.

Hope this helps on your issue.

Hello,

Thanks for comments. Yes, this is working solution but not efficient  .

Is there another way instead of 10 pages download?

Thanks!

Hello Luc,

Try with the below solution.

1.Create an output device which uses the access method G.

2.Create a file printer by referring the note 576973.

3.Print your spool with the created output device and select the file printer.

Hello

Thank you for replay. I really appreciate this, but i have one more question.

I created printer ( note 576973. ). I print my spool using this new printer.

I get the file without any extend (.txt or .xls ) I manually put .txt but when I open the file i get total mess. ( see screenshot in attachment )

What do you advise? Why is that?

Hello Luc,

You can chosse an output device which has the device type PDF1 and save the file with .pdf.

Hi Luc,

Can you send emall form your sap system? At SP01. Select you spool no. Choose menu Spool Request > Forward > Send using SAP Office.

Or Check this Note 161516 - Printing into a file or anywhere else in NT

Or contact your admin asking the to use FM RSPO_DOWNLOAD_SPOOLJOB downloading your spool in background mode

Hello Piyawat,

The file weight is approx. 40mb, too much for e-mail attachment...

I don't have access to technical t-codes.

Thanks for replay!

Kind Regards,

Luc
