I'm designing a Business Objects Universe where I have 2 Fact tables with common dimensions.
I know that a context is a solution to avoid loops and to determine the path of the SQL.
However, this case is a little bit different since these 2 Fact tables are also connected (not sure why it was done that way, but it was not my design).
I've added contexts, however, I still get asked to pick a Context when I use an object from the common dimension (DIM 3).
Any ideas how to solve this?
I've attached a diagram to demonstrate.
Thanks in advance.
Hi, you shouldn't be asked about contexts, if you just pick an object from DIM3. If you combine two objects from different dimension tables the prompt for a context should come up. Please, as Peter already asked, describe from which tables your objects come from,

Hi,
Contexts don't even come into the picture when one takes objects from one single dimension. So I asume you also take objects from one of the facts ? Right ?
What tables do you touch with your report ? And what contexts did you make ?
